A former daily newspaper reporter, I like to write feature articles about people who are creating something new or working to solve problems in the world as they see it. I also write personal essays and am drawn to stories that engage a sense of history or a strong sense of place. My writing has been published in Parents, The Washington MonthlyThe Boston Globe Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The American Prospect and elsewhere. I am a frequent contributor to Columbus Monthly.
